Fast Tip Friday – Signing a PDF Document Electronically
Gone are the days where we need to print a PDF document, handwrite our signature on the paper version, scan the paper into a PDF file, and then email the PDF file.
We can use Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to electronically sign the PDF document and save a signed (and flattened) version of the PDF document.
UPDATE: In this Fast Tip Friday, I demonstrated how to electronically sign a PDF using an image in Adobe Acrobat XI. To electronically sign a PDF with an image of your signature using Adobe Acrobat X, follow the instructions here or here.

I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro, but my signature feature is entirely different. It doesn’t allow me to insert an image or to type, rather the option I have is to sign using the mouse or pen. Why is this?
Hey Ellie – Do me a favor and go to http://www.screenr.com and record a short video of what you’re seeing. Then email me the link to the video. My email address is on my welcome page. Smile
Hi Amy,
