What kind of work were you doing before litigation support found you?
Information technology, technical support and network administration.
How did you get the opportunity to join the litigation support community?
I started importing load files into Concordance and Summation and then completed my Summation Certified Trainer program.
When did you realize that this career would be a good fit for you?
The more I moved into this role, the more I liked it. I enjoyed getting to know about the cases and being involved instead of just fixing the computers.
Do you prefer to be out in front and working with the clients or behind the scenes working with the technologies?
Both. I enjoy working with clients, outside counsel and the attorneys. I also really enjoy the technology and doing the behind the scenes work.
Is there an area of litigation support that had a steep learning curve for you?
I am still working on the legal terminology but am slowly catching on.
What do you consider to be one of the coolest things about working in litigation support?
Everything is constantly changing. Data sizes are getting larger, new technology is coming out and it becomes more and more of a challenge each day.
